We went on an overnight mini cruise on the Viking XPRS. The Viking XPRS had been in the shipyard in January and the ship’s interior had been renovated. The shop had been completely renovated, a new restaurant and the lobbies and cabins had been renovated.
Kävimme Viking XPRS:llä yön yli miniristeilyn. Viking XPRS oli käynyt tammikuussa telakalla ja aluksen sisätiloja oli uudistettu. Myymälä oli täysin uudistettu, uusi ravintola ja auloja ja hyttejä oli uudistettu.
We had a four-person inside cabin. The sofa upholstery in the cabin had been renewed, but otherwise the cabin was original. Shortly after departure we went to eat at The Burgers for good and reasonably priced hamburger meals. After eating it was time to explore the renovated store and we made some good finds. Although the square footage of the store had not increased much, the store felt much larger.
Hyttinä meillä oli neljän hengen sisähytti. Hytissä oli sohvan verhoilu uusittu, mutta muuten hytti oli alkuperäinen. Pian lähdön jälkeen kävimme syömässä The Burgersissa hyvät ja kohtuu hintaiset hampurilais ateriat. Ruokailun jälkeen oli aika tutustua uudistettuun myymälään ja tehtiin hyviä löytöjä. Vaikka myymälän neliöt ei ollut paljoa lisääntynyt niin myymälä tuntui paljon suuremmalle.
In the evening we sat for a while in the Pub and then it was time for a night’s sleep. In the morning, after breakfast, we got to know the other new spaces on the ship. The ship has a much brighter and fresher look.
Illalla tuli vielä istuttua hetki Pubissa ja sitten oli yöunien aika. Aamulla aamukahvin jälkeen tutustuttiin muihin laivan uusiin tiloihin. Laiva on saanut huomattavasti vaaleamman ja raikkaamman ilmeen.
