The shipping company\u00a0DODEKANISOS SEAWAYS\u00a0was founded in 1999 by George and Yiannis Spanos.<\/p>\n

Company’s first step was to buy a ship for passengers and vehicles in order to provide daily connection from\/to Rhodes, Kos, Kalymnos, Leros, Patmos and the larger port of Greece, Piraeus but after a few years the ship was sold.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the company after taking into consideration the importance of marine transportation among the Dodecanese islands, constructed at Batservice shipyard, in Mandal Norway, the first high speed catamaran\u00a0“Dodekanisos Express”\u00a0which started its journey in April 2000.<\/p>\n
