11/9/2007 When approaching Hirtshals, the ferry had a contact with the foundation of the western pier at the entrance to Hirtshals Harbour. The contact caused
three penetrations in the hull below the waterline which subsequently lead to a number of compartments being filled with seawater. Shortly after the contact
with the foundation the ferry experienced a blackout. After an hour it was moored alongside with assistance from tugs. At 0211 all passenger were disembarked.
